That Subwoofer
About two weeks ago, my old Klipsch subwoofer died. It wasn’t a violent death but it was a rather noisy one. Without warning it would register a deep hum that seemed to come and go at whim.
It’s hard not to be disappointed when an expensive piece of equipment like that ceases to be. The emotions are mixed like any loss: anger, denial, profound sadness.
However, in retrospect, I realized that this particular subwoofer is at least a year older than my son whom is about to turn nine. This particular subwoofer has been an invaluable tool when it comes to mixing and mastering an uncountable number of songs, a handful of records, and scored a not small amount of motion pictures.
In a few short weeks, I’ll be replacing that old Klipsch subwoofer. And when I do I’ll be ordering another of the same.
